Mathew “Fatt Matt” Jakubowski of Staten Island passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday September 24, 2019, sadly at the age of 26.
Born on July 28, 1993, Matt grew up on Staten Island and graduated from Port Richmond High School. He attended Lincoln Tech and later went on to work for the New York City Department of Sanitation. Those who knew him understood that the only thing bigger than Matt’s heart, was his attitude. Matt loved cars, trucks, bowling, sneakers, softball and most importantly spending time with his daughter Madyson. Matt absolutely loved his family.
Matt is the adored and beloved son of James and Donna Jakubowski.
He is also survived by his loving daughter Madyson, his brother Chris, his Gram and Grandparents, his girlfriend Alexx Watson.
He is predeceased by his brother, James.
Matt is a warm and caring son, brother, father, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the family on Friday September 27th 2019 at Cherubini McInerney Funeral Home, 1289 Forest Avenue, Staten Island, New York 10302 from 2-9pm. Blessing in the funeral home on Saturday, 10am, followed by a burial at Fairview Cemetery.

Worst news I can ever get . He delivered parts to my garage for a while and we hit it off instantly. He would make my garage last stop so he can rest in mechanics bay . I would have a teddy bear for him ready so he can cuddle with it . My condolences to you all especially his little girl that he gushed about . Was able to congratulate him on his little gift . RIP my friend .

I want to just say that I am truly sorry for your lost. I worked with Matt at night in the parts room . He was a good kid. we both loved wearing our red socks hat, and eating pizza bothering the yankee fans. He would always have some smart answer to give to me, very witty strong minded, and Charismatic. We had fun together. It was like a family at night we ate together laughed together worked together. He will be missed by me and my wife who is very upset by he passing because he was always polite to and made her laugh at me. awe my friend you will never be forgotten. Love you man.
