Lifelong Staten Islander, Margaret (Marge/Margie) Dunphy (nee Vuotto), passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 85.
Marge was the devoted mother of Margaret and the beloved sister of Jeane Oberti.
She is predeceased by her brothers Dominick, Marco, Michael and sisters Josephine Lorusso and Anna Marrazzo.
She is also fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews.
Marge had a great sense of family, steeped in value and tradition, well known for her Sunday and holiday dinners.
After the family came the Yankees! You would often find her yelling at the T.V. during games…you would think she was the manager!!
She will always be remembered for her blunt honestly, always saying what was on her mind, and her love of family and friends.
She will be missed but never forgotten
Rest in peace our dear Margie…

To my dearest friend Margaret, how I will recall with great fondness coming to your house in our youth and spending time with your mom. Everything is so true, she spoke her mind and was a wonderful lady.
My deepest condolences to you and Jeane, and all of your family. She will be missed greatly. Love to you all. – Joan
