Rita Eileen Berardi

Rita “Eileen” Berardi, 75, passed on January 28, 2020. She was born on February 23, 1944 in New York, New York. 

Eileen was beloved wife of the late Frank Berardi, cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Martino, loving mother of Vincent (Josephine) Berardi, AnnMarie (Roland) Freimuth, Frank (Cheryl) Berardi, and Eileen (Calogero) Camilleri; adored grandmother (Nana) of Christina, Anthony, Frankie, Carmelo, Vinny, Gabriella, Emily, Christopher, Andrew, and Olivia; loving daughter-in-law of the late Vincenzo and Leonardina Berardi; dearest sister-in-law of  Enza (Orazio) Melluso, Rita (Joe) Lombardo, Lou (MaryAnne) Berardi, Rev. Monsignor Ferdinando Berardi; the late Rocco (Paula) Berardi, late Vito (Rosetta) Berardi, late Ralph (Mary) Berardi and sweet Aunt of many nieces and nephews. 

Eileen was a devoted homemaker and devout Christian who was raised in West Brighton, Staten Island, New York and graduated from Curtis High School before moving to Port Richmond where she resided with her husband and children. Eileen enjoyed to crotchet blankets for all her family and friends. She loved to cook and shop for her love ones. Her favorite music was 50’s do-woops, Elvis, and dancing the “twist.” Eileen loved spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren. She cherished her family; they were the most important thing in her life and brought her so much happiness. They were her pride and joy. 

Services will be held at Cherubini McInerney Funeral Home on Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 4-9pm. The funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 11am, which will be administered by her brother-in-law Rev. Monsignor Ferdinando Berardi. The burial will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
