Tribute & Message From The Cornacchio Family
Staten Island, NY- Ann Cornacchio, 82, of Elm Park, a retired business owner & homemaker who adored her family, died Monday, February 24, 2020.
Born and raised in Stapleton Hill, she settled in Elm Park.
She graduated from Curtis High School in 1956.
Mrs. Cornacchio first worked as a secretary and then operated Ansal Cleaners in Eltingville with her husband Salvatore of 56 years.
Ann was a creative soul. She enjoyed creating ceramic pieces which adorned her home for every holiday. She crocheted and knitted blankets, tablecloths and hats which her family still uses today.
Ann was an excellent cook as well as an excellent baker. Throughout her life she baked for special occasions and holidays. Her best recipes were her cheesecake and her butter cookies. She made every holiday special and every meal delicious. Her recipes will continue to be enjoyed by her children and grandchildren.
She was also an avid animal lover and enjoyed spending time with her dog, Maggie.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Salvatore.
She is survived by her daughters, Sally-Ann Clementoni and Mary-Ann Cornacchio, her son Daniel Cornacchio and her two grandchildren, Kaitlyn Cornacchio and Salvatore Cornacchio.
The viewing will be held at Cherubini-McInerney Funeral Home on Thursday, February 27, 2020,2-4, 7-9 pm.
The Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28, from the Cherubini-McInerney Funeral Home, Port Richmond, with a mass at 10:30 am in St. Adalbert’s R.C. Church, Elm Park. Burial is in Woodbridge (NJ) Memorial Gardens.
