Alejandro Estrada Nuñez, Loving Father, Grandfather, Brother & Uncle
Alejandro Estrada Nuñez passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at the age of 86.
Born in Tela, Honduras in 1935, he remained there for about 25 years until he moved to the United States in the 1960s. Once in Staten Island, New York, he worked as a maintenance worker, a supervisor and a porter for several industries. He was certainly a man with a jack of all trades.
During his spare time, Alejandro enjoyed building and hand work, gardening, socializing with family & friends, church, volunteering, sight-seeing, casino visits, “A Great Meal and a Good Stiff Drink”. He was also a member of various senior centers.
He is survived by his loving children, Alisha Maria Thompson, Douglas Hamilton, Eric Antonio Thompson, Frances Usher, Iscilda Smith, Jacqueline Graham, Johnny Garcia, Katasha Thompson, Katina Thompson, Roseann Thompson, Rudy Hamilton & Thomas Thompson.
Alejandro is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Betty Martinez, Carmen Castillo Hernandez, Lucrecia Okesola, Maria Santiago Castillo and Rita Nuñez.
Grandfather to Aiden Lee-Alexander Thompson, Darnell Usher, Dirgham Hamilton, Jaden Garcia, Jhamell Hamilton, Johnny Jr. Garcia, Justin Garcia, Kariyma Hamilton, Rudi Sutton, Sayshawn Thompson, Shanel Isreal, Shatavia Thompson, Travon Thompson and the children of Nolvia Reyes.
Uncle to Alex Noe Barcelona, Alonzo Lewis, August Lewis, Cynthia “Sasha” Nuñez, Denise Beltran, Emanuel Lewis, Gabriel Fernandez, Gladys Peri, Gregory Vargas, Janet Nuñez, Jenina Nuñez, Jessie Thompson, Judy Nuñez, Justin Thompson, Kalixta Nuñez, Keith Thompson, Luisa Nuñez, Mary Paguada, Peggy Lewis, Sammy Nuñez, Tracy Melendez and Zandra Murray.
Predeceased by his loving daughter, Nolvia Isabel Nuñez Amaya and his beloved siblings, Anita Taylor, Carlos Nuñez, Luis Nuñez and Samuel Augustine Nuñez.

My deepest condolences to the entire family. Alex will be missed but never forgotten. He have left good memories in my heart. I will never forget the good deeds he did for me and my family. We are forever grateful. Alex heart was so big he never hesitate to help and give his last. I could only Imagine the crown that God has placed on his head.

Condolences to all he was him I was stepfather and he took very good care of us and my mother I know we all as a big group different family members but we’re all related to him due to his very large personality and very friendly manner he had a lot of people in his family.
