Sadly, many unfortunate circumstances emerge resulting in the shifting of gears or halting completely. The most detrimental factor is Death. Tandika, I admired your faith, hope, and strength along your difficult journey. As the saying goes…’God knows best. May your soul rest in peace, my dear cousin.

Condolences to the friends and family of Tandieka Stephens-DeClemente. Her passing still feels unreal to me. It was only recently after listening to her last podcast that I was reflecting on a very distinct memory I have of her singing ‘Closer’ by Bethel during a service at Love & Faith Church in Guyana. The memory has never left me and I now regret that I did not call/message her to tell her how much her ministry had meant to me. I do pray that as she transitions she is “closer” to her Lord.
Pradeep Gopalakrishna says

I had the pleasure of meeting her son too. I pray God to give the family strength and courage to deal with their loss.

I worked with Tandieka in the same company and while we worked in separate buildings, whenever I interacted with her I experienced a jovial spirit, always smiling, always dressed professionally. I followed her move through college and was and still is, proud of her efforts to advance herself. I last track for and while only last week I learnt of her fight and I messaged her immediately told her I would join her friends and family in praying for her. She said she is hoping God will come through for her. Two days later I heard the sad news. I pray her family finds comfort and peace under the shadow of God’s Wings. Sleep in peace my sister.
Aunty Mona says
I learned this song from Tandieka, and I can still hear her singing:
We can only know
The power that He holds
When we truly see how deep our weakness goes
His strength in us begins
Where ours comes to an end
He hears our humble cry and proves again
His strength is perfect when our strength is gone
He’ll carry us when we can’t carry on
Raised in His power, the weak become strong
His strength is perfect, His strength is perfect
*Pray that God will continue to strengthen Tandieka’s family, and may they find comfort in this season.
*Rest in peace Tandieka and continue singing with the angels
HIS STRENGTH IS INDEED PERFECT, CONTINUE TO TAKE YOUR REST MY DEAR.

Tandieka went through life like a bee going from flower to flower.. a mom, a student, a worker, a friend, a companion to Mike..doing it all with a stunning smile. Maybe she somehow knew that time would be short and she would have to do it all in a hurry. She touched our lives profoundly. You enchanted us, Tandieka, and we will love you always.
