Beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, Louise Andersen (Lacertosa), 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 30, 2022.
Born and raised in West Brighton to Louisa (Zasa) and Joseph Lacertosa on March 16, 1931. She was one of six children. By the age of 8 years old, she sacrificed her education and childhood to stay at home and take care of her ailing mother with the assistance of her sister Carmella. She remained her mother’s sole caretaker until she passed in 1977. During that time, she wed her loving husband John H. Andersen in 1952, later having three children, Judith (Judy), John and Ellen.
Following her husband John’s passing in 1971, she remained the sole caretaker for her mother, her children and cared for her brother Joseph ailing from multiple sclerosis. She relocated to Westerleigh in 1982 where she continued her journey as the caretaker of her family, helping raise all her grandchildren and framing each of them to become the caring people they are today.
Her home was the gathering place for holidays with family and friends visiting morning to night. Her Sunday sauce days over the years transitioned to Thursdays and were cherished by family and friends each and every week. She was truly the woman that would do anything for anyone who asked.
Louise was a parishioner of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, leading a life of faith and follower of Jesus Christ. She loved ceramics, crocheting, watching her stories and most of all taking pride in and spending time with her loving family. She is pre-deceased by her parents Louisa and Joseph, her husband John and her five siblings Rocco, Pasquale, Carmella, Anthony, and Joseph. She is survived by her son John and daughters Judy (Zagorski) and Ellen (Cunningham), as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be missed dearly by her five grandchildren Joseph, John, James, Dana, and Thomas and two great grandchildren Joseph and Madelyn.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Louise’s family.
I work with her daughter, Ellen. I know Ellen set her life aside to take excellent care of her mother, just as Louise did hers. Louise was blessed under Ellen’s care for a decade.
Sending prayers for peace in her passing and comfort that she is in heaven with our Lord.

I am so sad to hear this. 💔 My “Aunt Louise” – “Uncle” Johnny was my godfather. 😔 I have so many wonderful childhood memories at the Andersen house. My deepest sympathy to John, Judy and Ellen and their families.
