Anthony Orea, known to many as Oreo, age 34, tragically passed away on the 24th of September 2022. Anthony was born on August 18, 1988 in Brooklyn, NY.
Anthony is survived by his parents, Antonio and Ana Orea; his sisters, Lissette Galindo and Marisol Orea-Williams; his nephews, Robert and Steven Galindo; his niece, Jadelynn Galindo; along with many cousins, aunts, uncles, dogs, and friends.
Anthony had a big heart. He loved fiercely and was family-oriented. He was a huge fan of sports, especially boxing and basketball. Anthony was a loyal Knicks, Ravens and Red Sox fan. He loved a good underdog story. He loved playing video games and eating Wendy’s. A true kid at heart.
Anthony was an electrician and took pride in his work. As a young boy he dreamed of being a basketball player and if you’ve witnessed his rainbow three- pointers you could almost close your eyes and see that as a different reality. He was also the unofficial neighborhood watchman, watching everyone’s homes, cars, even the raccoons for suspicious activity.
Anthony’s stories and explanations were legendary and those who knew him have their own experiences to tell. He said what he meant and meant what he said. He was very compassionate and equally as passionate about everything he did.
He was a terrible driver, although he never admitted it. He loved a good comedy and could recite sitcom lines verbatim. No matter what he was doing or who he was with, he made sure to make it home in time for dinner with his family. He was blessed to have many friends that he considered family and was protective of everyone he loved. On earth a protector, in our hearts a defender, and always a guardian.
