Theresa Christina Tolas was born on October 14, 1943, on Staten Island, New York. She grew up in the Mariners Harbor area of Staten Island.
Theresa passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024, at the age of 80, with her daughters Barbara and Stacy by her side. She is survived by her sister Maryetta Liquori, her nieces, Tara, Audrey, Lily, Stella and nephew Kevin Liquori. Theresa is the daughter of the late Josephine and Ralph, the sister of the late Frank Liquori, and was married to the late Donald Tolas.
As a teen, Theresa had the opportunity to dance on American bandstand and meet Dick Clark. She later worked as an administrative assistant at Mount Loretto and was previously employed as the secretary to the president at Saint Francis College. She enjoyed music and was nicknamed “Terry Tunes” at one of her jobs. She enjoyed concerts, traveling, and spending time with her family and grand-dogs.
Her family is hosting a blessing honoring her life at Cherubini McInerney Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 12 at 10:30am with a burial to follow at Saint Peter‘s cemetery.
