July 5, 1969 ~ October 23, 2024
Scott was born at the United States Public Health Service Hospital in Stapleton on July 5, 1969. He lived on Staten Island until his teen years. In 1988 Scott moved to Philadelphia to attend high school. He graduated from Germantown High School in 1992 with a certificate in Culinary Arts. Scott moved back to Staten Island and, as a result of the help of his beloved father, Henry “Hank” Pedro, joined the Lifestyles for the Disabled Program in 1993. He was a Chef at the Staten Island Zoo and most recently a custodian at Luxury Cleaning. He also volunteered at the Staten Island Food Bank.
Scott was also a member of the Special Olympics where he got to travel across the country and abroad. He won medals in basketball and floor hockey. He was an avid wrestling fan. You couldn’t call him on Monday nights because he would be watching Monday night WWE. His Nana Pedro made him an ardent Knicks fan, he loved video games, and he enjoyed bowling with friends and family. As a young person, he was his brother Greg’s biggest fan at his high school and college basketball games. Most of all Scott was a family guy. He loved his family and was an integral part of many joyous occasions.
Scott is survived by his mother Christine Felton, his siblings Gregory Pedro, Lauren Pedro Garba, Marcus Pedro, brother-in-law Joseph Garba, Stepmother Denise Pedro Carter, Aunts Donna Pedro, and Jacqueline Wilson, Nieces and Nephews Pastor Christopher Pedro, Justine Pedro, and Jeffrey Pedro, Landon Wesson, Lori Garba, Loni Garba and two Great Nieces Carter and Eden Pedro. Scott Leaves behind a host of cousins and friends and a community at Lifestyles for the Disabled. Most of all Scott leaves a void in all of our hearts that is irreparable.

I still cannot believe Scott is gone. The appointments we had scheduled come up in my calendar reminders & break my heart all over again. The sweetest, kindest, most gentle person…. I miss him so much more than I thought I would. I am so sorry for all of our loss but know with certainty he is whole and rejoicing. Sending love and wishes for peace for all of us grieving.

Scott was the sweetest most kindest person to have ever walked this earth. He was always there for me. There wasn’t a mean bone in his body. He would give you the shirt off his back if he had to. As his girlfriend we shared good times. I never saw Scott get mad. He took life in stride. My condolences go out to his family and friends. Rest easy Scott. Fly high with the angels until we meet again
