Cherubini McInerney Funeral Home serves the residents of Port Richmond, Staten Island with professionalism, compassion and respect. We provide personalized funeral services that truly capture the essence of your loved one. Although we offer direct cremation services that come without any viewing or ceremony, we encourage you to have the healing experience of a funeral or memorial gathering.
Grief experts are in agreement that paying tribute to a deceased loved one is key to the healing process. We offer the complete cremation service which includes a public or private visitation, a funeral and the cremation of your loved one’s remains. We have cremation caskets, rental caskets and alternative containers for this selection. We also offer an immediate cremation service as a way to deal with your loved one’s remains right away, and this is usually followed by a memorial service held in our spacious funeral home, a church, a restaurant, a park or another location. After the cremation, we have an assortment of decorative urns to choose from in a range of styles and prices. You can keep the urn in your home, place it in a columbarium niche, bury it in your family plot or scatter the cremains over land or sea.
We also arrange for the interment of casketed remains. You may choose a ground burial or entombment in a mausoleum. We offer the graveside service, as well, where attendees gather at the burial spot for a respectful and dignified ceremony. This choice is often preceded by a visitation or viewing with either an open or closed casket. With any of our burial options, we assist you in selecting from our Merchandise Selection Room containing samples of our caskets and burial vaults.
If you decide to pre-plan your funeral, perhaps you will include some of the above final arrangements. Our funeral professionals would be honored to meet with you at a time of your convenience to discuss the services that we offer. After you complete your plan, we can keep it for you safely on file in our office. You can also entrust your written preferences with a friend or family member. This will give you the peace of mind in knowing that your wishes have been made clear. You may also consider pre-paying for your funeral plans to avoid the price increases that result from inflation.
