June 12, 1972 – December 11, 2023
Barbara Garcia was born on June 12, 1972, at Coney Island Hospital. She was a loving,
kind, and joyful daughter, sister, mother and friend. Barbara was a mother to two sons
whom were her pride and joy.
Barbara was born to Jose and Luz Garcia in Brooklyn, New York and resided in the
Coney Island area in her childhood years. She had attended and graduated at Our
Lady of Solace School and resided at O’Dwyer Gardens where she made lifelong
friendships with school mates and neighborhood friends. She then attended Lincoln
High School follow by obtaining her degree in Business while raising her two boys in
Park Slope, Brooklyn. After obtaining her degree she worked in a law
firm as a Legal Assistant. Barbara then moved on to live in Staten Island,
New York for over a decade where she planted new roots.
Our beloved Barbara had the most bubbly, warm, and happy spirit as she would have all
those around her constantly laughing with joy.
We’re extremely saddened of the sudden loss of Barbara as leaves behind her two sons
Seoshan and Nubiene, her father Jose, siblings: Jose Jr., Ann Marie, Lissette, Jeanette,
Linda, and Laura; thirteen nieces and nephews: Isaac, Emily, Lourdes, Robert, Andrew,
Destiny, Rueben, Jordan, Laniece, Kiara, Noah, Michael, and Lauren; seven great and
great- grand nieces/nephews: Nephtali, Jasmine, Michele, Nisa, Kathy, Matthew, and
Nephtali Jr. Also, with a host of other family members like aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Barbara was granted her wings on December 11, 2023. Our family is heartbroken as
we had kept the faith as she was in the hospital in a comatose state for which she
didn’t overcome. We trust in God she is resting peacefully in glory within the arms of
Jesus our Lord.
She may be gone but never will be forgotten as the vision of her infectious smile will be
engraved in our hearts for a lifetime.
John 14:1-4 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in
Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many [a] mansions; if it were not so, [b] I would have told
you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will
come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
