Emil Galante, known to everyone as Butch, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 after a four year battle with pancreatic cancer, in his home with his beloved wife Lauren by his side. Born on November 2, 1948 on Staten Island, Butch attended Our Lady Queen of Peace School and then was part of the first graduating class to complete four years at Monsinor Farrell High School in 1966. He then attended Florida Institute of Technology before following his dream and starting his own business in 1977. As a contractor Butch built Galante Home Improvement, Inc. from the ground up and continued to own and operate it for almost forty years. He was both well-known and well respected in the business community on Staten Island, helping countless people make a house into a home. He was a proud, active member of the BUCKS business group, participating in their events throughout his life, as well as a board member of several charitable organizations, most recently Meals On Wheels.
As with most things in his life Butch’s greatest strength was building relationships, a legacy that will be reflected upon by those who knew him.
Butch Galante’s memory will always be cherished by his wife Lauren and her daughter Danielle Xiao Xian Kane, his daughters Jean and Laura, his brother Anthony, former wife and friend Mary, his nephews Paul and Anthony, his great niece Madison, and his in laws Donna, Nancy, Paul, Adam, and Marvin. He was adored by his six grandchildren, Isabella, Nicholas, Matthew, Gabrielle, Abigail, and Charlotte.
