Ms. Febrina Delitha Meeks, also known as “Feb”, was born on February 1, 1962 to Christine
Tacardon and the late Richard Meeks in St.Vincent Hospital, in Staten Island, New York. She was raised in the West Brighton neighborhood of Staten Island in her formative years.
Febrina valued education. She attended Curtis High School, after which she attended Wilfred
Academy Cosmetology School. Febrina also took classes aligned with her passion for cooking at the Institute of Culinary Arts. Febrina valued helping others and professionally, she worked as a
certified nursing assistant (CNA) for many years. Another important role Febrina played for others was as a patient care worker who improved quality of life for Staten Islanders with special needs as an employee of the Staten Island Developmental Disabilities Council (SIDDSO).
Personally, Febrina was the life of the party, and she loved to spend time with her family and close friends. She had a love for creating tasty delights in the kitchen, including her beloved barbeque crabs. Febrina loved music, makeup, and making sure that her family and friends knew that she loved them. A late night “I love you” call was a calming constant. Febrina was loved by many. She was loyal, and kind in spirit with a great, big, loving heart. Her memory lives on and will be cherished in the lives of her multitude of family and friends.
Febrina Delitha Meeks is survived by her mother Christine Tacardon, bother Richard Meeks Jr.,
daughters Delitha Michelle Hamilton and Christina Denise Harper, son Stephen G. Dotts II,
grandsons Hezekiah Hamilton, Jaeden Dotts and Kennard Tompkins, and granddaughter Jiselle
Dotts, niece Kayla Meeks, nephews Richard Meeks IV, Jacob Meeks, Richard Meeks V, Andrew
Meeks, a loving host of uncles, aunts, cousins and close friends.
