In Loving Memory of Gabriel “Angelo” Cordova
October 26, 1940 – January 7, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gabriel “Angelo” Cordova, a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a retired self-employed electrician. Gabriel departed this world on January 7, 2024, at the age of 83.
Born in Puerto Rico on October 26th, 1940, he moved to Staten Island in 1972. He is survived by his son Angelo Cordova (his wife Lisa), his daughter Cindy Cordova, his daughter Jacqueline Jimenez (her husband Louis), and his daughter Angela Vanco (her husband Danny). He is also survived by his ex-wife, Carmen Lambert. Gabriel took immense pride in his family, finding joy in the unique personalities of each of his children.
Family meant everything to Gabriel. He leaves behind cherished memories in the hearts of his 2 sisters (Millie and Iris),12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, who will forever remember the warmth of his love and the wisdom he shared. Whether it was sharing stories, attending their sporting events, offering guidance, or simply enjoying the company of those he held dear, he always had a smile on his face.
Gabriel served his country with honor and bravery in the United States Army. His commitment to defending the nation reflected his strong sense of duty and patriotism.
Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service that will be held on January 13th from 4-7 pm at Cherubini McInerney Funeral Home 1289 Forest Ave, Staten Island, NY 10302.
