James T. Parsons (76) of Staten Island NY, formerly of Brooklyn, NY passed away Sunday January 5th 2020.
Loving son of the late Marion & Gerard Parsons. Beloved husband of 50 years to Belle Parsons (nee Opperman). Loving father of Emil, Colleen, Erika & James. Cherished Brother of Edward & Gerard Parsons. Loving Brother-in-law to Mary Parsons, Ellen Parsons and Jane Onida. Proud Pop-Pop Jim of 14 Grandchildren. Proud Uncle of numerous nieces and nephews.
Jim Worked at Brooklyn Union Gas for 45 years as a supervisor. Member of the Knights of Columbus. Member of the American Legion Goldstar post. He proudly served in the National Guard for 9 years from 1963-1972. He was a long time Parishioner of St. Adalbert’s R.C. Church, a Third Order Lay Carmelite, and a Eucharistic Adorer. He devoted a lot of volunteer time to multiple charities. Jim should always be remembered as a kind, loving & helpful person who would help anyone in need.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be sent to the Perlmutter Cancer Center, 240 E. 38th Street, 19th Floor, N.Y., N.Y. 10016
