Phyllis Ann DeMartinis (Pisano) age 86, was called home on March 25, 2024.
A heart so big. Never stopped loving. Her parents gave her this beautiful life.
Phyllis Ann Pisano was born to Americo and Vincenza (Denino) Pisano on February 14, 1938. Sister to John Pisano (Jean). Loving wife to her husband John Peter DeMartinis who recently passed.
She was a proud and loving mother to her son John (Christine) and Daughter Linda. Grandchildren Matthew, Troy (Sydney), Cody (Kelly), Melissa and Samantha (Christopher) and Great Granddaughter Erin.
Phyllis met her husband John “Peter” DeMartinis and was wed on July 3, 1960. Spending 63 wonderful years together.
She attended PS 20 and Port Richmond HS. Her careers included Working at Lofts candy shop, Citibank and Denino’s Tavern.
Phyllis was active in many organizations such as PTA’s at her children’s schools, PRHS alumni where she co-chaired numerous reunions, Bosom Buddies as a Breast Cancer Survivor, St Roch’s seniors, the Saint Ann’s Society of St Roch’s and Neighborhood community Boards, member of The Women of the Moose Originally a faithful parishioner of Christ the King Chapel of Saint Mary’s of the Assumption, then Saint Adalbert’s and St. Roch Parishes.
Loving trips to Atlantic City with her husband, mom, Aunts & Uncles and Cousins, friends and daughter where she was a Lucky lady at times. Always eager to attend Chinese Auctions besides her dear friends and many family members, proud of her winnings she was always anxious to share.
She adored Violets that reminded her of the ones her dad often gave her. She loved crystals, rocks and was amazed by psychics. A fabulous cook and remarkable baker she proudly passed those traits on to her children and grandchildren. Even when her hands became weak, she always made sure her hair and makeup and nails were perfect and had a great sense of fashion with a vast wardrobe. She was always a “cool” mom and made sure she had the newest trends and hot items under the tree. Her home always was bustling with friends and family. She enjoyed playing games on the computer and seeing what everyone was up to on Facebook. She was generous, loving, fun and full of life a true gem.
Phyllis was her family’s warrior to the end.

I worked with Phyllis in a bank and met her and loved her immediately
She was my matron of honor when I got married and somehow our paths separated but I always remembered her. She was truly beautiful and a wonderful woman.
I will miss her!
Sincerely,
Rosemarie Losquadro
