William Gerard DePalma, 66
Loving husband, father and grandfather
William Gerard DePalma, 66, was born in Staten Island on Dec. 26, 1951, to the late Ralph and Alice DePalma. He passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Staten Island University Hospital.
He is survived by his wife of almost 45 years, Judy DePalma.
William was a loving father and father-in-law to Carrie DePalma Monem and her husband, Mohamed Monem, Nicholas William DePalma Sr. and his wife, Yousra Madfai DePalma, Cheyenne Montero DePalma, Gabriel DePalma, Pedro Montero and Giovanni Montero.
He also leaves to cherish his memory, his six grandchildren, Nicholas William DePalma Jr., Mohamed Ali Monem Jr., Yousef William Monem, Maya Jude Monem, Ava Lynn Laurore and Ryann Elise DePalma. He was the beloved brother of John DePalma, Alfonse DePalma and Columbia Gorman.
William was deeply loved and will be greatly missed and his many nieces and nephews, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, close friends and old friends.
Funeral services will be held at Cherubini McInerney Funeral Home, 1289 Forest Ave., on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 9 a.m., with a Mass at St. Adalbert’s R.C. Church at 10:30 a.m., followed by private cremation. Viewing will be held on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
